I’m behind on reading/commenting ugh. I did read one of the fics that updated but it made me sad. But like it wasn’t even really a sad fic, it was more open.

This is getting angry and ranty so I’m hiding it under the cut

But idk I’m just so so so tired of my queen being given the short end of the stick. Again it’s why I hella overcompensate and make him suffer. But it’s v annoying to me that he can do whatever and my queen will still love him? Fuck that bullshit. I’m sick of it. I’m sure it’s cause I’ve never been in romantic love so I don’t get it, but if that’s what it’s like I don’t want to understand. All these stories I hear of women staying in toxic relationships where as the men are always able to leave their shituationship and find better matches, is so difficult for me to wrap my head around. This is just in regards to the people in my real life and from some podcasts I listen to (and social media shit) but I swear the percentage is heavily skewed to women trying to save their shitty relationship while the men are able to break out of it.

Anyways, yeah it’s why I absolutely loathe fics where he’s a scumbag and my queen suffers but ultimately he gets to keep her. First that seems very ooc to me, but I also write him ooc too but just way opposite from that. So I guess whatever. But again I ask why must my queen suffer? Hasn’t she suffered enough? Why are we putting her through all this bullshit and tearing her down and making her believe she can only love this one man? Is this supposed to be romantic? Like what? Like oh wow, guess she’s so fucking lucky he decided to choose her after fucking around and being an absolute dick. Grody.

I swear I’m just too American or at least too much of a Vegas gal to be okay with this. Because I see this shit so much in fics and irl I am fucking terrified of it happening to me. To lose my complete sense of self for an underserving asshole who makes me question love? I would rather die. Like kill me please. Cause if there’s anything I know, it’s love. I’m Lots of Love for crying out loud! All forms of it! It’s not just romantic, but the rest of the world seems to think it’s the only one that matters. And I know I’m guilty of that too, cause I am to my core a hopeless romantic. But when it is pure. Not this brainwashed mess where men can be whores but women aren’t allowed to even look at another person.

Back on my fuck first love being the only love bullshit. I fucking hate this trope when it applies to only women. Not super fond of it with men either, but that’s more of a dig at my main fandom I can’t even enjoy anymore.

Would love to read a fic where she’s the player instead of him and it’s perfectly fine. Make him the one who wonders for fucking once. Does she love him? Maybe. Is she enjoying her life and fucking around? Absolutely and as she should! Not caring that she’s stringing him along cause he’s the back up that she knows she can always go back to, and maybe she does actually love him. Go figure.

Some days I get so angry I just want to write a fuck you fic, but also I don’t cause I hate writing and I have too many other projects I would rather finish so I never have to write again. But then I think about having to read these fics and noping out or sticking it out and being pissed even though I knew where it was going and I would hate it. And I’m like hella judgey but at least I’m not an awful person who leaves rude comments for a fic not meant for me. Yeah if you do that shit you’re a fucking asshole and I want nothing to do with you.

I didn’t intend to start this post off so angry, and now I don’t even remember my main reason for trying to make an update here. I’ve just annoyed myself and I need to leave or else I’ll be too tired for my hopeful boost of serotonin tomorrow (or today rather). I’m probably just irritated from being at the airport like all day. I love traveling but some airports and airlines suck.

Another Nuzi rant. Don't mind me

Spoilers, duh

Since I've already done a quick character study/nuzi rant from N's side. Here's one from Uzi's side!

This is probably gonna be just me repeating things people have already said... again. But I love Uzi. (Just like every other character in Murder Drones, honestly.) But Liam did a wonderful job of making an angsty, emo girl, borderline maniac that we know as Uzi. Her character, to me at least, never became the annoying overdramatized and overused stereotype that follows her style. She has real reasons for being the way she is.

A loner, whose dad loves nothing but doors. School is not different, as her classmates pretty much forget about her existence on a day to day basis. No one to talk to, no one to connect with, gives her the angsty side that I absolutely adore. Because underneath all of that toughness is just a lonely little drone who was left by herself since early age. But guess who comes in and busts down those walls (literally and figuratively)?

Our good boi N! Despite their rough start, N never really gave Uzi a reason not to trust him. Their chance encounter, and a broken sensor, allowed them to have the talk that might have never happened. Their beginning might have been a lucky accident, but for the rest of the season, we can see how both sides had to work to make well... Nuzi work!

For Uzi, asking for help is like asking for a death sentence probably. After being on her own for so long, she doesn't expect anyone to help. With that information in mind, the first time she let's that wall crumble was episode 2, Heartbeat.

"Uzi, shoot! Or give it to me!"

Granted, we all know that was not our N. But in that moment, when Uzi was in an enough distressed state, she sought help in N. We all know how that ended, though. Absolute Solver took advantage of that and almost killed her, before N once again sweeped in to save her. The one and only notorious Nuzi misunderstanding was, for better or for worse, cleared up pretty quickly. Seeing as glitchproduction only has so much money at their disposal, they can't really drag this ordeal out. Personally, I'm glad that it didn't. The long drama that is just a misunderstanding after misunderstanding gets quite tedious to follow.

So, moving forward in The Promening, Uzi once again seeks out N when she's in distress. When she sees and hears about what Doll and Lizzy were gonna do, she books it to the only person she knows can help her.

N! Now don't get me wrong. Uzi, by herself is plenty strong. She's shown off her fighting and capabilities, and would have probably been able to take V on. She's taken J down before, aaaand Uzi does technically also take V down in Cabin Fever. But she still went out of her way to go find N. So they could work together and get this mess sorted out.

And then there's this. God I love Cabin Fever, and surprisingly no, not for the Falling.... for you? scene. No, I loved the entire Uzi going on murder spree because she can! The music was such a banger too. But back to Uzi. She recognizes V and briefly snaps back to her usual self. Curious isn't it? N and Uzi both tried reaching out to V, but because V is so untrusting (and we all understand why from ep 5, Home). Here Uzi tried to ask V for help... in form of N.

I find it interesting how ever since Uzi met N and V, she's been getting better at asking for help. Sure, V shot her down because, once again, V was scared. Uzi was turning into the monster that only Cyn has been capable of creating. This soon leads to N yeeting Uzi into the f*cking stratosphere and the two have a chat.

I love how the animators included Uzi hiding behind her bat wings.

Her metaphorical walls were back up. And guess who broke them yet again.

The bestest boi N! And ever since this moment, N and Uzi are way more open.

Episode 5 was taking place in N's memories. But episode 6 is where their trust and care shines. Yeah, sure, there was the hand holding. And it was a big moment! But I enjoyed the little things more. Uzi checking in on N, nodding at his little comments and jokes.

Summary: I love Nuzi. Send help they're on my mind 24/7.

Do you know what to make of john and cyns relationship?

to meeeeee it reads very much as a "oh shit gotta get married because of the baby" comphet situation. for john especially, but cyn too even though she's straight. there's just this expectation for women to get married and life for single mothers is already hell but back then it was soooo so much worse. i mean she even said in her book that it wasn't really like a real marriage in those early days & i think about that a lot. i think obviously there was a lot of love there, but i don't think john was sexually attracted to her (or even romantically, really- he OBSESSED over her in the beginning but that's a different thing entirely).

and then of course there's the fact that he hit her when they were younger (whether or not he Continued to hit her is a question i'm not qualified to answer lmao it depends on how much you believe her saying that he only hit her the once vs his general violent behavior towards both men & women in his life) & even if he hadn't he was a shit husband & father who was not around. and when he was around he was getting high and isolating. i think that was probably an INCREDIBLY difficult period for her & i am very glad they got divorced bc both her and julian deserved a lot better than what he was giving & there's 0 excuse for the way he behaved towards them

honestly to me it just reads as a tale as old as time that most people watched their own mothers go through. woman marries a shitty man bc she got pregnant or felt societal pressure to marry, man is abusive in some way & falls into substance abuse, man is closeted as fuck and takes it out on other people, kid winds up in the crossfire of the whole thing.... it's just. well. it's a depressing relationship and it's one i've seen time and time again in real life. but she did love him. a lot. still did up until she died. unfortunately i don't think he gave like even half as much of a fuck about her as she gave about him.

kin mem dump / i try to explain the mess that is my doll-solver timeline

Everything is under cut because this is going to be LONG. I apologize ahead of time for the likely disorganization lmao,, I don't have to energy to clean this up like a proper essay

"I" here refers to Doll btw,

It's probably obvious already but I was pretty canon divergent, although some of the things aren't confirmed or contradicted by canon, so I guess it could still be canon but probably unlikely.

I'll get to the weirdness with the Solver (and the "solver family tree" i made) at the end, so here's the other major differences:

The universe was a simulation. Or at least I'm pretty sure it was something like that. There's no way that the Solver should be able to change the properties of stuff using code or open up [null] black holes if it wasn't.

I became close friends with Uzi. Also I didn't die in episode 7. This friendship happened after what should've been ep 7 and it started after I let her keep the keybug after barging into her room. I remember telling her to talk to me later (which I honestly wasn't expecting her to do, but she did) after she told me that "[the keybug] was the only answer to what was wrong with [her]".

Yeva wasn't dead. I don't remember how I found her or when but she had survived in her core like Nori did. I'm pretty sure it happened at least a few months after Cabin Fever Labs though.

And finally, here is the "Solver family tree" and my attempt to explain it

Basically, the original Solver was copied into (infected) Cyn, which then mutated and became the thing in canon. Only Cyn's Solver and copies of that has an affection towards N/V/J/Tessa. That was later directly copied into Nori and Yeva during the experiments.

What the Crucifix Patch did in my canon was basically get rid of its "murder everything"ness and stopped a lot of the overheating problems (which in turn weakened it). I consider mine and Yeva's "strain" of it to be sort of separate from Cyn's, but since the virus doesn't just copy its "base code" and copies EVERYTHING into the new host (including memories), I do have a few snippets of memories from both Cyn and Yeva. This is also why Uzi's Solver has the same opinions towards N/V/J/Tessa.

Also, the Solver was a separate program and basically was like a half-person in your head fighting for control. Constantly. You overheat more than normal, even with Copper-9 being almost freezing

Anyways, Yeva and my copy of the Solver was a lot less murdery (although it still needed oil often) and we could kind of negotiate with it since it didn't want to murder everyone. I unfortunately did not learn this until after Cabin Fever Labs. Oops.

But yeah, I eventually formed a bit of an alliance with it and it would usually manifest itself as a security camera tail or wire coming out of my neck. Uzi's Solver fucking hated mine after realizing it was on our side and would try to fight it so much. Too many times did N and the others have to try to split us apart lmao,,

Technically, I guess I'm only my own Solver but because that was a copy of an altered copy of an altered copy, I do have some memories from Cyn and Yeva. So its easier to say I just kin the Solver than having to explain the weirdness of it in my canon lmao,, It's really hard to explain robot things in human terms lol,,

I wont go into her backstory pre manor too much bc ✨spoilers✨ BUT pretty much from the day she booted up people expected her to be a specific way. It didn't end well and then her second chance was ruined by the Solver, who corrupted so much of her that people see them as the same person. That whole trauma also shaped her, she's different than how she used to be.

Jessa is so real though. Even if it's platonic it's still such an important relationship between them. J was obviously the closest to Tessa. She was her closest friend and wasn't able to save her. J was controlled like every other drone was when Cyn made her move. Cyn very well may have killed her there that night. Maybe not. Either way j couldn't save her and once she was gone, she was gone. She was clearly terrified of Cyn and didn't want to die. She wanted to live. "There's no escape, even in death!" And she's already been cloned. God only knows what has been done to her by this point. She's following the person who killed her best friend and she knows she's trapped. there is no escape. It's death or submission. And she already clearly has no idea how to exist without authority. She needs someone to tell her what to do. In this terrifying existence she's now trapped in, all she has is the comfort OF that submission to an authority. Cyn tells her what to do and what not to. She never has to make her own decisions and be afraid she might be wrong. She never has to grieve. She can fall into line and do her job and make that her entire purpose, and then everything else can fall away. She has a job. Shes good at her job. Nothing else matters.

I really don't think she SHOULD have changed sides. I honestly expected her to- I expected her to not even know Tessa was dead. I was shocked to learn she had been fully deceitful the entire time. I wonder if the j that Uzi killed knew that too? I know people wanted her to heel turn, but- what has happened in the entire series to grow her to change so much? If she had only just now discovered Tessa was dead she may have turned, and I understand why people wanted that. But there was no reason at all for her to care about n or uzi. She obviously cares about v though. I think we clearly saw with "if I promised you anything- then it tricked me too" that she didn't want to be on that side. She didn't want to follow Cyn. But she was too scared to turn. I don't think thats a failure of storytelling and I don't think it undermines her character. She had her opportunity, the best opportunity she has ever had and would ever have to turn, and she couldn't do it. She could not overcome her fear-

Unlike v. We see in the hallway when v runs into Cyn who's just killed n how fucking TERRIFIED she is. She's shrinking away, stammering, childlike. She's even trying to weakly bargain. But she doesn't end up submitting to her farm when it's do or did time, when it's time to fight or flee, she fights. She sticks to her team and wins, while J loses. J being unable to overcome her fear, being unable to challenge Cyn, it informs and highlights v's bravery. She is a foil to v in this fight. It wasn't that the story simply forgot to give her character development, I just think people didn't like the development she got. And that ultimately, j is not a protagonist, and V is. And j was used as a supporting character to support V's. The job of a supporting character. I'm genuinely sorry to disappointed J fans, it sucks to have your favourite character not develop the way you wanted. But I really disagree with most people's apparent feelings about her.

Cynthia's parents are dead. Idk, I've read like, a few fics abt her and usually they'd write in how her parents are dead and ofc I added that to my hcs bc I live for the angst hahaha I wanna say like,, in my own hcs, her mom died while giving birth to Cyn's younger sister, and her father died during an expedition, leaving their grandparents to raise them. Ofc, Cynthia couldn't really fault her sister for what happened to their mother, it wasn't her fault; the expedition her father went to went downhill and they couldn't even find his body. But idk, as much as she wants to care she just really,,, couldn't. She wasn't even that old when her mother died, maybe she was like,, two at most, and when her father died she was three. So she never got to bond w them much, and if she tries to think abt them, well.. her grandparents would always come to mind instead. She never thinks abt them really, never even visits their grave, she just,,, she really just kinda forgot abt them if she's being honest, but ofc people expect her to like react in some way whenever she's asked abt her parents, so she'd just fake being hurt and missing them when she really doesn't. How could she even miss people that she didn't even know that well.

Wallace's parents are the most homophobic pieces of shit to ever walk Hoenn, so you can only imagine how rough it was for him. Not only that but they also kinda held him up in a high standard compared to his own sister as he's the older one between them, thus he's going to be the next Guardian of Sootopolist. They honestly didn't support him on his career on contests, instead they insisted he'd be Sootopolist's Gym Leader, and while being Gym Leader was an item in his bucket list, he also wanted to join contests and be a coordinator. That didn't sit right w his parents ofc, berated him for his interest, his father even beat him up, they ended up disowning him and he went to live w his sister for a bit, promising her that when he gets back to his feet he'll make it up to her. And ah, yknow his sister has always been such a sickly kid when they were younger, and that didn't change when they got older, after Lisia was born, a few months later his sister died, leaving him w his niece. His parents blamed Wallace for the death of his sister, but he ignored them, opting to take care of Lisia instead, as a way to make it up for his sister. He has to fight long and hard so he'd have custody of Lisia, and he ended up taking the title of Guardian from his parents too, saying that it was his right and he was next in line, and his father was in no way shape or form to do his duties anymore. Ofc, their relationship is as strained as ever really, he doesn't let Lisia visit her grandparents in fear of what they'd do to her, so he's like,, he's really trying so hard to be a Guardian, Champion, and even a father figure now to his own niece.

Lance's parents were pretty absent most of his life ngl, same goes for Clair's folks really, which left them at the care of their grandfather, the Clan Elder. He knows they're still around, he just doesn't mind them really, rather he's just trying his best to be the next leader of their clan. If they talk to him, he just talks to them too, and it's not like there's really any conversation other than them asking how he was and if he's doing well. He's like.. he's indifferent towards them. Like, it's cool they're still around, but if smth happens to them he really.. he really wouldn't turn his head to help them. Why would he? They were never there for him too. He does hate his grandfather tho, mfer had too much expectations on them and he hated it, so he really broke the chain after being the new leader of their clan, and did a lot of things he knew would piss off the elder. He almost never calls the elder as his grandfather, it's always been elder, he doesn't feel like family to him.

Ik we got Steven's dad and such, but I wanna think that his mother died when he was like,, five. And if he's being honest, he was closer to his mother than his father. She was nice yknow, she was so supportive of him, and was the one to give him his Beldum, telling him that hey even tho he's not ten yet, she's sure having the company of pkmn wouldn't make him that lonely while she and Joseph are out on meetings. But ofc, his mother got killed, it changed his father, got every reminder of her in their house hidden from sight, as he didn't want more reminders that the love of his life is gone now. That kinda messed Steven's relationship w his father, but like, yknow years later, they finally had a talk abt it, so it's kinda,, it's kinda good now at least hahaha

Leon's dad,, idk, I imagine him as the type to tell his kids he's just gonna get some milk from the store and hasn't returned since. Mfer doesn't even know Hop is his kid💀 so ofc Leon doesn't like him, he just left him and his mom while she was pregnant w Hop, and before Hop was born he already left. Dia is probs the only friend she had that they ever thought would be perfect for her, bc ofc, Dia was also rich. But yknow, the more Geeta defied them, the more expectations they placed on to her, and the more she was bending over backwards to reach those expectations, the more pissed her parents became. Like, telling her that if she won't cut ties w her friends, then they'd just give her her inheritance and make her leave their own home, letting her provide for herself, and they'd just watch as she'd waste the money they gave her. Ofc, Geeta never wasted it, she knows how to handle money, and became a bit more successful than her folks. They really don't talk much anymore, they'd pass each other a few times, but Geeta would never talk to them. I also wanna add that they're kinda the reason Geeta has troubles w empathy and sympathy and all that, bc they taught her to look down on people who aren't in their level, and she kinda internalised that to the point she really couldn't feel much for a lot of people. She is breaking that chain tho, she knows it's not a good mindset, but sometimes she just slips and falls back, but still, she's trying.

You're on the right track actually; this was hinted in the opening of the show when it shows the robots going right to their death and not caring at all (the mining part), when N saw a coworker in the mansion just get killed and not care at all, and when Uzi was at the infirmary and there was a poster talking about what hurts the robots ; when the robots start having empathy and caring about things they are starting to become corrupted, or at least that's what J says... Many of these drones do have emphaty, such as our main trio; but for x and y reasons they can't go without killing people, mostly because Cyn is keeping an eye on them and THEY WORK for her in a way, and you know as much as I care about people I don't know if trying to oppose an HP. Lovecraft kind of monster is a good idea...

N, V and Uzi deep down are good people and they want a break, just like everybody else, of this life, but they can't having to put on a persona most of the time to keep themselves sane in the end; is sad but is really refreshing to see a show were everyone is allowed to be a horrible person, and still like ale in a way, specially considering this is a dystopian apocalipse; and I say that as a person that doesn't like shows like these because of the way the characters are written but in murder drones is different because everything just makes sense when you analyze what you are watching, and when you stop to think about the characters situation and morality; I honestly wished more shows like MD and Villainous were the norm instead of the exception... Like is good to actually see the whole "victim of society" and the "world corrupted you", " "existencial nihilism", and the "the road to hell is full of good intentions", "people are made in shades of grey" done right at least once! The nihilism places two roles: 1. The robots not caring both because they are probably programmed not to care and also in a form of adaptation to their life style considering the things they are dealing with (which happens in human morality, when something messed up happens and our brain gets crazy, apathetic and so on, like in some cases of PTSD of like retired veterans, and so on) and 2. Because it doesn't matter, because no matter what they do NOBODY will come to save them, their gods do not care about them, they don't have a soul, they are suffering and are destined to die and so on; whoever MD is about trying to find a happy ending in all this; the character's know that killing is wrong, and do not like that, but there is nothing they can do expect pretend these things didn't happen (for their mental health); and try to move forward together for a better future. Basically, comedy horror at it's peak! Rarely this genre is turned into a show at all, so it's great it's a full on show instead of a game, or comic, or book. So yeah! That's just the average comedy horror for you.

I know the idea that a teacher wouldn't care that 8 of his students just got eaten is framed as absurdist humor, but it got me thinking more and more about a recurring theme of the show: why do the worker drones simply not seem to care when their compatriots die, sometimes quite gruesomely?

I think the answer lies with their maker, J.C. Jensen. If you were going to make millions of sentient worker A.I. whose sole purpose was to be worked to destruction and then callously discarded, would you want them caring about each other? Hell no, that's how robotic uprisings happen.

The nihilism is intentional; it's programmed right into them to keep them from caring beyond just enough basic survival instinct to keep them from damaging themselves (replacements cost money, after all). Even simple, mostly ineffective cooperatives like Khan's W.D.F. require them to push back against their own programming, and only a few individuals push themselves to a meaningful level of empathy.

Come to think of it, there's probably a societal metaphor in there somewhere.

He knows that his sin is envy, but this feeling gnawing in his stomach was making him clench his jaw tighter by the second.

The one time he actually leaves his safe haven of a room to go to RAD, he sees some demon that isn’t him cozying up to you, his Henry, by the lockers. And the demon had the audacity to smile in your face even more when they saw him staring- well really glaring- at them. He’s far enough to where he can’t fully understand what’s being said, but his hearing is good enough to make out a few words. The demon asking something along the lines of why he’s here and who he is to you, and the worst thing that could happen happened.

He heard you respond that he’s just a friend.

It wasn’t a secret that Levi has a crush on you, that he’s in love with you. He hasn’t confessed to you yet but he thought atleast after all the long nights of gaming and marathoning together, that you would atleast notice something! The times where he would lend you his controller and even show you how to play by putting his sweaty palms over yours, the moments spent with you comforting and uplifting him when he goes through his outbursts, even the rare nights where you slept cradled in each other’s arms, with his tail wrapped around you protectively. Did that mean nothing to you?!

He wants to feel betrayed, to feel deceived, but he can’t. He doesn’t want to be fully upset with you, and while he is hurt, he can’t fully blame you for only seeing him as a friend. Despite him not doing any kind of physical activity, Levi moves fast. Not to mention how RAD isn’t exactly a small school, so weaving through halls and jogging down so many stairs was starting to get exhausting but you couldn’t stop now. You know how sensitive Levi is, and you know how much he gets inside his own head, so seeing him like this pained you beyond explanation. By the time you slowly slid down next to him, he already tried to shuffle away, but you grabbed his hand before he could get far.

You weren’t expecting him to snatch away.

“It’s not fair! Why is it that I’m not good enough?! That I’m never good enough! Cyn couldn’t believe that you just ditched them so fast, and for him nonetheless! The fact that you said that that weirdo was more than just a friend, and that he already owned your heart made them want to throw up. Idk one thing that makes me think that John was bi and definitely more attracted to males is this: Yoko said that John was into beauty and although she's full of shit and awful I believe her on this one. Before you rip me apart I really love Cyn and May, but if you really look at the women and the men in his life it's clear that John had a thing for boys. Hi, I’ve decided to give a go at this lol I don’t think my response makes any bloody sense but I tried, apologies in advance anyhow.

While Yoko is extremely wishy-washy, fickle with shit she’s decided to say and share in interviews and such, there are certain things she’s said that hold some kernel of truth or we should at least take note of. It’s rather easy to know when she’s spewing literal horseshit from her mouth, while other times, she might be giving us some important insight, though those little tidbits of what we could consider relevant she always tried retracting [often because it doesn’t help her or their image much] 

Though I wouldn’t say I needed Yoko claiming both her and John were into beauty [I mean, we all kind of are, but I digress, I understand] to believe it, because, and let me be weird for like a second, John’s a Libra. They covet beautiful things. Beauty is just, part of their inherent likes, to admire beauty.

That and, being an artist, I’m sure he did have a thing for “beauty.” too.

Of course beauty is in the eye of the beholder, subjective, all that philosophical jazz, but I understand what you mean.

I’m not going to rip you apart, because I hold a rather “controversial” opinion in regards to Paul’s wife Linda-- that is, we’re allowed to see these people contrary to what we assume the ‘bandom’ might push as the ‘’right/acceptable’’ and expected opinions.

For me, I find May very pretty, and I think Cynthia was pretty [cor that doesn’t really attest to if they were average pretty or not, I don’t know, but I can see why you see that, I do. What Ronnie Hawkins said at the end of this interview, is the nicest way to put how I feel about Yoko in terms of her appearance;

I know it might come off as insulting but it’s not like we were the one’s to say it first-- John was the one to say Yoko reminded him of a bloke in drag, so. 

I can’t say I’ve ever thought of it this way though, or took noticed like you did.

I agree, many, most of John’s relatively close male friends were very attractive, very pretty, handsome; though there’s no 100% solid evidence that John felt any strong particular way towards Stu and Brian like he did towards Paul [that is, obviously something sexual happened between John and Brian, but I think that was mainly John experimenting and having the right sort of individual he could do so with, safely, and he might have pitied Brian in a way but, I don’t think he’d meant to hurt Brian or anything. I personally don’t agree it was a powerplay either] John indeed appeared attracted to, or at least drawn to, effeminate, feminine boys.

Not saying all his close male friends were effeminate, femboys [Pete Shotton, Mal Evans...] but I suppose we’re mainly talking about the individuals that, besides being “close”[I also think we could have a discussion of what it meant to be a close friend of John’s, because even if someone might’ve thought themselves close friends with John, they actually weren’t-- not many were; Paul was possibly the closest to close a male friend/relationship John could’ve had, besides Pete] have been rumored he’d had some sort of infatuation or tryst with, like Stu and Brian; Mick Jagger was a very pretty boy, those full lips and relatively soft features accentuated by the longer hairstyles of the 60s and 70s [whether you believe something happened between Mick and John is really up to you, I’m relatively neutral on it I don’t know, but there certainly was a lot going on during this [x] [x] [x] get together between them] and David Bowie is 100% an effeminate boy, and there had been this story, whether it’s true or not I don’t know so take it with absolutely a grain of salt, where a server or whoever caught note of a familiar pair of boots in a stall that belonged to John, David, but another pair of feet which could’ve been anyone, when at a party he’d attended with Yoko. Wish I could find the damn source for it [just another thing I wish I had cataloged better, damn me] 

Side note, I honestly believe John would’ve been rather interested in Tara Browne had it not been for the fact Tara was Paul’s friend, a friend who was very attractive, and artsy and bisexual, and Paul really seemed to dig him [though I do not believe Paul held any deeper feelings for Tara, as much as Tara might’ve had a crush on Paul]-- which had John feeling threatened and his jealousy/possessiveness shot through the bloody rooftops, as we know. Tara was to John as Stu was to Paul. 

I don’t know, you may be right. 

I personally believe John leaned more towards men specifically because he just seemed to enjoy, was happier, and was much more comfortable their company, friendship, the bond, more than women, but despite being gay or in a same-sex relationship wasn’t illegal in the UK anymore in 1967 [oh what a year] it was still easier to be with women than men, openly anyway.

Just because something becomes legal doesn’t mean culture and society are really on track with it, if you get what I mean. 

But anyway, yeah, I could see it, him being more attracted to “male beauty,” more than “female beauty,” if he were to lean more towards men in his bisexuality. I don’t know.

Clearly John couldn’t officially be with the person he wanted to be with though, who was a man, because of issues and reasons we can only begin to assume and possibly pinpoint. Nobody can hold a candle to Paul, he is a bloody Adonis, and I’m sure John would’ve agreed, begrudgingly or partly jokingly. That and John’s soulmate.

When you woke up this morning you weren’t expecting to be woken up by five pairs of eyes watching you sleep. Rubbing the sleep from your eyes was a BIG mistake.

I mean I don't really put much stock in the "yes, boys" bit considering immediately afterward he said "but for me it's women lol". As far as potential hints of Paul being queer go I think I'm most compelled by that Royston Ellis anecdote and that time when he got engaged to Jane and apparently told some fan "what, do you expect me to be some 30 year old queer who never gets married?", though I do see him as being mostly straight with moments of insecurity and conflict. I do believe he was emotionally in love with John, but I don't think he was ever sexually repressed and I suspect he actually might've gone further than he was comfortable with for the sake of maintaining a bond. But then I could just be projecting onto him since I'm not into guys myself. 🤷

honestly In General I think putting much stock onto what paul says about his sexuality is a futile thing bc like. either he's straight and emotionally in love with john or, like I honestly think is more likely, very closeted like...... it's a lot more complicated and none of our business frankly (won't stop me from speculating lol but he shouldn't have to Say Anything about it). but like. being a queer man born in the 40s is hard enough and there's plenty of very average non-famous 80 year old men who are still closeted. but add being 1/4 of the most famous band of all time on top of that and 1/2 of the most famous songwriting duo of all time (and the only half alive at that) and it's going to be impossible. let alone when it comes to john, who's dead and can't exactly consent to being outed by anything paul might say if something DID happen. add yoko to the mix, who's already demonized enough just for "breaking up" the band, and you have a nightmare of a situation. like I think there's a good reason he said there's things about him and john's relationship he can't/won't reveal while yoko is still alive (& he'd said cyn at the time too, but she's dead now so I'm just focusing on yoko)

ultimately like. To Me the way he acts & some of the things he's said does NOT speak to a non-sexual romantic love from a straight man to a bisexual man, it really reads like a closeted bisexual man who has been shoved into a corner of never being able to come out bc he has a huge legacy to protect. like even though groups have outsold them, there's really never been another group like the beatles and protecting that legacy as one half of the surviving members & the most famous of the two would come first I think, ESPECIALLY where john's legacy & yoko's reputation is concerned.....

idk all in all I don't think we can necessarily take him at face value on that. (and I mean it's honestly very rare he actually talks about his sexuality at all. he talks about JOHNS sexuality a lot and insists john was straight, but he really doesn't talk much at all about his own feelings about his sexuality). of course, on the other hand, that Could very well be the case! I just don't see it that way at all 😭 which is fine we're all gonna have different views on this stuff bc there's not some definitive account of what happened & we're all just putting together a quilt of hints

cynthia’s parents were hit hard by the great depression. she was an accident, something she always knew, and growing up, things were always tense in her family. whether it was emotionally or financially, there was always something. her dad worked several part time jobs, and her mom picked up any little thing she could to help the family. one day when she was five, someone inquired about casting her in a commercial. from there, she soared, starring in little roles here and there, and nearly every commercial for a blonde child. the money helped her parents’ lives improve, and as a result, gave them a newfound love for her.

as she blossomed into a teenager, directors found new roles they wanted her in. cynthia started to become a real actress, and not just one who took side roles. once she turned eighteen, she packed her bags and headed to hollywood herself, determined that the little success she’d already had was a sign she could become a big star.
